Special school meeting, district number four (d), towns of Colesville, Harpursville, N.Y., June 1, 1915.
Meeting called to order by E.W. Neff, Trustee. Dr. C.S. Butler, duly elected chairman.
The minutes of last meeting were read and approved.
A report of special committee on school house site etc. was called for, and Will H. Weeks, chairman, not being present, Frank Lewis reported that committee was unable to make full report at present, but searches of records of present site were being made.
Motion made, seconded and carried that report of committee be accepted and committee be retained in and report at next meeting.
The following resolution was offered by Frank Lewis, who moved its adoption. It resolved that joint common school district of the Towns of Colesville and Artone be changed to a Union Free School district. Resolution adopted by informal ballot.
Mr. Frevault, architect from Endicott, made a few remarks.
The meeting proceeded to elect members of the Board of Education until August 1, 1916. Two (2) to be elected to serve until August 1, 1917. One (1) to be elected to serve until August 1, 1918. Motion carried.
E.N. Pratt and Arthur Stevens were duly nominated to serve as members of the Board of Education until August 1, 1916. Frank Lewis and E.W. Neff were also duly nominated for the same offices.
The meeting proceeded to a formal ballot which resulted as follows: Whole number of voted cast 41—of which Arthur Stevens received 13, E.M. Demaree and Chas. Stevens were appointed tellers.
