    voters of district number one in the town of
    County of Allegany.

The old school house pursuant to a call of
citizens previously Thomas H. Langworthy being duly sworn says
that he is a taxable inhabitant of district Number One in the
town of Wellsville and was such at the time of his appointment
by the trustees of such district to give notice as hereinafter
mentioned that on the 21st day of October, 1859, he was appoint-
ed and directed in writing by the trustees of said district to
give notice to the taxable inhabitants of said district and all
persons entitled to vote at district meetings therein of the per-
meeting to be held on the third day of November, then next in
pursuance of the foregoing notice in the manner provided by
the law in the case of the formation of new school districts and
said that in the pursuance of such appointment and direction he
did give such notice to every other inhabitant of the district
qualified to vote at district meetings therein as far as he
could ascertain such inhabitants by reading the notice in the
hearing of such inhabitant or in case of his absence from home-
by leaving a copy of the substance thereof containing the time
and place of such meeting at the place of his abode more than
six days before the third day of November, 1859 and he further
says that the number of inhabitants entitled to vote at district
meetings of said district then and at the time appointed for
the meeting was as near as could be ascertained one hundred and
ninety two.
