SPECIAL MEETING
A special meeting of the tax payers was held at the School House on Friday evening, March 21st, 1930. The meeting was called to order by Chairman of the Board, H.J. Laning for the purpose of voting to make a change from a District School to a Union Free School.
The first step taken was to elect a Chairman of the meeting.
Mr. Windlespect nominated E. Vosburg said nomination being seconded by Mrs. C. Van Dyck.
Albert Carter nominated John Fisher said nomination being seconded by Mrs. Rice.
The ballots were passed by Tellers, L. Miller and D. Metzer. There were 453 ballots cast, 266 for Vosburg and 187 for Fisher, the election being in favor of Vosburg.
Mrs. Stoliker made a motion that we adopt a Union Free School, according to the State Educational Law which motion was seconded by Mrs. Hunter. There were 508 votes cast, 306 YES and 202 NO.
Mr. Gilmore made a motion that the vote be accepted said motion being seconded by Thos. Rose.
VOTE FOR THE ELECTION OF TRUSTEES TAKEN
It was decided to have five trustees represent the Board of Education, two for a period of three years each, two for a period of two years each and one for a period of one year.
Mr. DeBevoise nominated H.J. Laning seconded by Mrs. Hunter.
Mrs. L. Miller nominated Chas. F. Lockrow, seconded by John Riley.
C. Getford nominated H. McClellan, seconded by F. Batchelder. H. McClellan declined. H. Schunmer nominated J. Shay, seconded by Mrs. Phillips, J. Shay declined. Mrs. H.I. Grounds nominated R.E. Grounds seconded by Mrs. K. Laning, R.E. Grounds declined. Mrs. LaGrange nominated A. Hagey, seconded by Mrs. Stoliker, A. Hagey declined. The result of the nomination left two men in the field,
