They’re not exaggerating. It’s just the way the bio department is set up. There’s so much competition and instead of teaching you so you understand, they weed you out. Even if you know your material well, you won’t do well because the test questions are like SAT questions with only a one or two word difference. You spend the entire time second guessing yourself. Even if you do well, you’re sacrificing so much to do it- your time several hours a day studying just one class, your mental health, etc. Hunter’s bio just wants you to fail. You gain nothing from them but low self esteem, depression, and anxiety. If you’re intent on being a bio major, go to another school, you’ll benefit greatly from that
