- I paid for my first semesters out-of-pocket, then took some time off while i worked “off the books” to qualify for Financial Aid.
- Worked unskilled job at a dog daycare.
- Amazing. I went from CUNY York college which is an ugly institution with very little sunlight, in a ghetto neighborhood of Jamaica queens, at the very end of the E train line, to a “community college” Laguardia, which was 1000x better in EVERY way. After getting my associates, went to Baruch, but still think LagCC is a better overall institution.
It felt great to go back after working dead-end jobs. But honestly, after graduating, getting internship, getting job in my field - it really makes me angry how much of a scam / multi-level-marketing scheme academia really appears to be.
