Try your hardest in your first two years cuz those are the easier classes, plus you can start looking for internships once you become a junior and you won’t have to worry so much about your GPA.
Also, for rate my professors reviews, read some that detail the class, not just the ones that says something like “inspirational, nice professor.” Look for ones that mentions their grade breakdown, as well as if they typically curve final grades. Also, some rate my professor grades may be inflated from the pandemic so when ur making ur classes, compared a few from 2019 and to now and see the similarities. I know obv professors can change but I had a class where a professor changed their course grade breakdown cuz we were out of the pandemic apparently lol.
Take your major classes in person and all the easy classes online if you can. It’s just better to take harder classes in person cuz most people (including myself) slack off if a class is online.
See if you can meet people who have the same major as you, that way, you all can take the same major classes together and trust me, that’ll save you a lot of stress when it comes to studying and preparing class notes, it’s good to have perspectives from other people that are the same major as you.
Lastly, just have fun, try to make as many friends as you can, end of the day, it’s college and you’re meant to have fun. Go out on weekends, see your friends, see your family, take yourself out on a date, don’t let your classes stop you from having a little fun in your life because trust me, this is the time where you can have the most fun if you plan accordingly
