I don’t know about the tandon campus byt I don’t study in NYU yet, my sister got scholarship to study in US, she’s been eyeing for NYU and looking for places and expenses. She’s looking for a place near the manhattan campus and it’s super competitive if you want an affordable place. But i guess the tandon campus will be less crowded, competitive and more affordable. You should look into the rent for private room in airbnb and chat the renter if it’s possible to get cheaper prices for longer stay and do the transaction outside of app so it can be cheaper (my friend did that in EU and got some offers)
