Highly suggest attending community college first if your GPA isn’t up to par. You’ll save a lot more money (and yes, there are tuition differences from CC and 4 year CUNYs). But if Hunter is your first choice def email or call to see about an appeal. Although, I never heard of them nor any CUNY for that matter doing so. Or you could do your first year or semester at CUNY’s Community College and apply to transfer as your GPA would be higher. Or get your Associates first and then you could have the possibility of earning a schlorships. A lot of students do that if they don’t get accepted the first go around! Don’t sweat it! Your first year is basic gen ed requirements (Math, Science, Electives, and English). Also, every CUNY has these requirements for first year students, just stick to the same major and then transfer when you’re ready. Hope this helps. :) Also, I trasnferred from a 4-year (John Jay) to BMCC and honestly I like BMCC more.
