I’d say the biggest problems with hunter are pretty glaring, especially to people who don’t really care much about how much they’re learning: the campus and schedules.

I think the campus, some parts more than others, is largely outdated and would need an overhaul to make it comparable to other CUNY’s. Thomas Hunter alone looks like an abandoned high school both inside and outside, and most of the north building isnt much better. Because the school is also very overcrowded, it can be difficult to find somewhere to sit and wait in between classes almost impossible to find somewhere quiet to conduct a meeting or interview.

As for scheduling, Hunter is, again, very overcrowded. This leads to there being very limited options for your schedule, leading to you having to come to campus at inconvenient times, large gaps in your schedule, or the classes you need already being full causing a delay in graduation.

For people who aren’t as concerned with academics, having a good campus and good schedules are important. But Hunter doesn’t offer very much in those departments. My favorite part of going to hunter was my professors, but it’s pretty lacking otherwise
