I’ve heard a lot about students getting accused of using AI on assignments. It seems that professors have broad discretion to flag assignments for cheating.
Does anyone know what the CUNY policy is for accusing a student of plaigarism? Does the professor have to prove that the student cheated, or does the student have to prove that they didn’t cheat?
I’m a Junior at John Jay, and I’ve made the dean’s list for three semesters in a row, despite being in a difficult STEM major and having a job. I don’t think I would be able to succeed without ChatGPT. There are many issues with the use of AI in academia, but I feel like it has revolutionized my learning process and it helps me to ensure that I do well on my assignments.
