It’s always good to run your work through AI detectors before submission but this is going to be an ongoing issue especially more now that AI is becoming more of a tool in assignments. Even if you don’t use AI on an assignment I always suggest running it through.

My first semester Grammarly was detected and got me my first F. Merely just for punctuational purposes.

I recommend saving all drafts and showing your professor that you wrote it. You can also fight it if go hard for the point of using AI particularly just to enhance your understanding but not for plagiarism. English and Literature Boards are very understanding of what it is but NEED proof to want to believe you.
