You may have a final exam in person for your English 201 (Composition II) class (where text apps maybe disallowed) – there is a policy like this at Rutgers University (New Brunswick) when it comes to their College Writing classes (101 or 104, formerly Basic Composition 100). You would be given a topic to write an essay on (they would use it as a means to officially verify that you are NOT using text apps, etc. to write your papers for the course as well as to verify your progress in class – to use a text app, etc. might be considered a violation of their Honor Code (and it may be a similar violation of academic integrity at John Jay as well for you to use such text apps in class, even if you are considered “disabled” in some way: see https://www.jjay.cuny.edu/academics/academic-resources-services/registrar/academic-standards-requirements/academic-integrity). Just saying – if you have to fail, at least FAIL HONESTLY as opposed to be flunked out of John Jay for they could call “CHEATING”…..
