I think you have to pair the Hatch through an app on your smart phone. At this time, the phone should be connected to Columbia’s WiFi. Within the app, there should be an option to connect the alarm clock with the WiFI network. If Columbia’s WiFi isn’t up to a certain speed, you may not be able to connect it. I ran into this problem in my apartment - my husband ended up having to replace the router.
