Semester nightmare

Hey everyone.. I’m usually not one to vent like this, but I’m at my wit’s end and hoping maybe some of you have been through something similar or have some advice. This first semester at CUNY has been one of the absolute worst experience as student and it’s almost entirely due to financial aid issues. I literally didn’t receive any financial aid until maybe 2-3 weeks before the semester officially ends. I applied for emergency grant thar took 2/3 weeks to process — That’s weeks of trying to survive with no money, no job (because I’m a full-time student and trying to focus on my studies), and barely enough to get by. It’s been incredibly stressful just trying to manage basic living expenses while also being expected to perform academically. As a result of all this financial stress and the sheer amount of time I’ve had to dedicate to trying to figure out how to eat or get around, I’m genuinely worried I might fail some of my classes. And to make matters worse, I just found out that all of my financial aid, including my Spring TAP, won’t be disbursed until next fall. What the actual F***?! How am I supposed to continue being a full-time student when I’m constantly in a state of financial limbo? Has anyone else experienced this kind of extreme delay with CUNY financial aid? What did you do? I feel like I’m drowning and there’s no lifeline. Any advice, solidarity, or even just commiseration would be appreciated. Thanks for letting me vent.
